Interested in architecture? The Bergisel Ski Jump, built in 1925, won the Austrian state prize for architecture. Salzburg is home to impressive castles, palaces and state cathedrals. The Silberbergewerk Schwaz (silver mines) were once worked by 10,000 miners and originally made coins and jewellery that contributed to the immense Hapsburg wealth. Zell am See has plentiful attractions including a casino as well as fast action ice hockey matches. Exhilarating ski races take place in Kitzbühel.
