How can we book an airport transfer and what do we need to know about it?

1. From Salzburg airport - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Price: €110.00 per party (max 8 persons), one way.
Driving time: 1h approx

Discount price for shared transfer service:
Two parties                   €60.00 per party / per way (max 8 pax)
Three parties                 €40.00 per party / per way (max 8 pax)

Please note that reception will organise a shared transfer only when parties arrive on the same flight or arrival time.

2. From Munich airport - Franz Josef Strauss
Price: €280.00 per party (max 8 persons), one way.
Driving time: 2.5h – 3h

3. From Vienna airport - Schwechat
Price: €495.00 per party (max 8 persons), one way.
Driving time: 4.5h – 5h

4. From Salzburg city or Salzburg train station
Price: €130.00 per party (max 8 persons), one way.
Driving time: 1.5h approx

Booking conditions:
Only accepted by Club La Costa in a written form via e mail, fax or letter.

Booking information needed:
-the exact number of people (including all ages) who are travelling in your party
-the flight details (flight number) in case of any delay.
-the exact arrival/departure time at/from the airport

Payment for transfer service:
There is no need to pay for this service in advance. We will add the amount on to your holiday account and you can easily pay upon your departure.

Payment Method:
Cash, most major credit cards & traveller's cheques (nb: Club La Costa takes 5% commission on all traveller's cheques)

Cancellation Fee:
Up to 1 week prior to arrival = free of charge.
From 6 days down to reservation/check-in day = 50% refund of the whole price.
Where guests do not arrive at the airport and driver is kept waiting: No refund. Full amount will be charged.

How do we hire a car and where do we find prices?

Club La Costa Alpine Centre strongly recommends hiring a car as we are located just outside the city centre; therefore it will be more comfortable having your own transport.
Please be advised that there are no cars to rent directly at the resort. You will find the car hire company “Europcar” at Salzburg airport and in Zell am See (15 min drive from the resort). To check prices, please visit the following website: www.europcar.com

Are pets allowed at the Alpine Centre?

Unfortunately pets are not allowed in any of the Club La Costa World Resorts & Hotels, including Alpine Centre.

What is the "Tourist Tax" in Austria?

According to government rules you have to pay a tourist-tax in Austria – it is currently €1.15 per person, per night. Children under 14 and handicapped persons are free of charge (passport/handicapped ID required)
There is no need to pay for this service in advance. We will add the amount on to your holiday account and you can easily pay upon your departure.

What do we need to know about skiing and snowboarding?

We have a ski shop at the resort where you can book ski/snowboard lessons and rent your equipment.
Everything can be added on to your holiday account. In general there is no need for advanced bookings, but reception would appreciate it if you could inform us in case of any special requests.

Ski shop opening times:
Saturday 16:00h – 20:00h
Sunday: 08:00 – 09:00 & 17:30 – 18:00
Monday to Thursday: 17:30 – 18:00
Fridays: 17:30 – 19:00

In case you need to visit the ski shop when it is closed, you can always visit their other 2 shops in town.

Do you offer a transfer to the ski slopes?

We offer a ski shuttle service from Sunday to Friday, to and from the slopes in Zell am See (Areitbahn ski lift).

Prices per person (return):
€5.00 per adult
€2.50 per child (under 14 years)
Times:
Departure: 09:00h (Sundays - 08:45h)
Pick up: 16:00h (Thursdays - 17:30h)

Places on the ski shuttle need to be booked the day before at reception.

Is there a public ski bus that we can take from the resort to the slopes?

You can get to the ski slopes using one of the special ski buses in the area (free with a ski pass).
However, please note that you need to catch a normal public service bus from our bus stop and then change to get to most of the ski buses. If you want to go to the slopes in Zell am See (city express), the normal public service bus can get you there, and you will only be charged for a couple of stops; the rest of the journey will be free with your ski pass.

Can we buy ski passes at reception?

Ski passes are available from the Club La Costa Alpine Centre reception, but please note that we do not have every type and special offers are not available.

What type of clothing should we bring for our ski holiday?

Besides your normal day and evening clothes we recommend bringing:

  • Warm hat or ski helmet (helmets can be rented at our ski shop)
  • Sunglasses and/or ski goggles
  • Warm, wind/waterproof jacket
  • Warm, waterproof gloves (ideally with a reinforced palm if you are skiing/snowboarding)
  • Warm, wind/waterproof trousers
  • Thermal underwear
  • Warm socks
  • Warm outdoor boots with a good grip

What possibilities are there for shopping?

The general opening times for shops are from Monday to Friday from 08:00–19:00, Saturdays from 08:00–18:00; closed on Sundays. Restaurants, cafes and bars are open. You can get some essential groceries at the Club La Costa Alpine Centre reception (soft drinks, bread, eggs, butter etc) or at several petrol stations in Saalfelden and Zell am See (but please note that they are quite expensive). The nearest supermarkets are in the centre of Saalfelden, about 5km from the resort.

Will we get a grocery "Welcome Pack" on arrival?

Alpine Centre provides a welcome grocery pack;

  1. Club La Costa Members: free of charge
  2. Non Club La Costa Members: €13.50
  3. Non Club La Costa Members, but regular guest (2nd stay or more): €7.00

If you require a welcome grocery pack, the charge can be added to your holiday account by Club La Costa Alpine Centre Reception. Please be advised that it is not possible to pick just a few items out of the grocery pack; the price is for the whole pack, which includes: milk, sugar, coffee, orange juice, 6 eggs, bread, jam, butter, salt, pepper and dishwasher tabs.

Is there internet connection at the Alpine Centre?

Our internet access (guest computer) is available from Sunday to Friday from 08:00 to 22:00 and on Saturday from 08:00 to 23:00. It costs €1 per 15 minutes. Wireless Lan is available in the reception lobby and restaurant area - free of charge (password provided at reception).

What if we arrive while reception is closed?

A late check in while reception is closed is possible and not difficult at all:
Go to the main entrance where you will find a call button with a telephone sign on the right hand side of the door. Pressing this button will connect you to our duty manager. Just tell him your reservation name and he will open the door for you via remote. Go into the lobby. On our front desk you will find an envelope with your name on it. In the envelope you will find the key cards to your apartment as well as a description as to how to get to your apartment. The full check in procedure can be done at the front desk the next morning.

Please note that the use of some of these facilities depends on restaurant opening times, and therefore they will not be available when the restaurant is closed.

Is there a restaurant at the Alpine Centre and what kind of food does it serve?

There is a restaurant at the Alpine Centre; it is located opposite the reception front desk.
The meals that are served there go from snacks, to traditional Austrian specialties to international meals. Our restaurant offers a mixture of theme evenings (some of them in buffet style) and evenings when you can eat à la carte. Our reception team is happy to send you our restaurant programme on request but please bear in mind that the menus and programme may change depending on the season.
